Rates of Return in FRP
Jimr, am I correct in understanding that the annual saving fields (Taxable, Tax Deferred, and Tax Free) is new money that is not at all derived from the income minus expenses that we've inputted into the model. In other words, by putting say $10,000 in the Taxable Annual Savings, the model does not ...

Detailed View and Taxes
Hi Jimr, On the detailed view with the Show More Detail selection, i see a column that is labeled "Taxes on RMD" - are these taxes only for the RMD? Is there a column that shows total taxes paid against the the income coming in and the withdrawals from various portfolio types (I'm thinking...

Taxes against contribution or drawdown against tax related cashflow types
Hi Jimr, In the instance where we enter a number (positive or negative) against a cashflow type (such as taxable savings or tax-deferred savings) where positive is a contribution and negative is a drawdown or withdrawal, does FRP assess tax against that transaction? I'm trying to model a situation w...

Re: Annual Savings Run for Life of Plan or Till Retirement?
Also for the tax deferred annual savings input - does FRP automatically deduct that amount from the taxable income? i.e. - as in what happens in real life against 401k contributions that can be deducted against W2 income?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Annual Savings Run for Life of Plan or Till Retirement?
Question on the various annual savings inputs (taxable, tax deferred, and tax free): do these inputs run for the life of the plan or just till retirement?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Nevermind my earlier post. I resolved the problem by re-installing Java. Everything works fine now.

Problem with Java Registry
I noticed that my Windows 10 had some background updates recently. After those updates were installed, I can no longer run FRP. When I click on the app, it gives me a message with the following: "The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrup...

Re: Question on income tax rate?
Hi Jim, I setup a scenario where there is only an income of $70K a year coming in with no taxes, no expenses, no inflation, no other investment account, and 0% return with 0% std dev of returns. As expected, in the detailed view, it shows an after-tax income of 70K a year for as many years as this i...

Re: Question on income tax rate?
So on the income tax rate inside FRP, I'm assuming that this is the effective tax when we put in a % in the income tax rate field?
Thanks,
RC
Thanks,
