Re: RMD for those attaining age 701/2 after 12.31.2019

Thanks to you guys for posting. I continue to struggle with this question, but not as much as I did.... :)
And thanks for reminding me of the potential to end up with two RMDs if I don't watch out.

Re: RMD for those attaining age 701/2 after 12.31.2019

After more digging/reading, I found the year selection for beginning RMDs on the Settings page. I changed to 73. Sorry for the question - I need to read more in the Documentation.

RMD for those attaining age 701/2 after 12.31.2019

FRP calculation question for when to start RMDs. FRP shows 72 years - I believe, at least in my case, at my current age, my RMD will start when I am 73. This is a question for the forum on understanding the NEW rules of RMD beginning distributions. FRP shows RMD beginning at 72. Is this correct for ...

Re: Documentation for Detailed Table and what the headers mean

Good Morning Jim, I would like to tell you that your software, Flexible Retirement Planner Evaluation, is great. Since my last login, I have worked with a financial planning company and a local CPA to determine my options for a Roth conversion and basic planning for Traditional IRA distributions. Yo...

Re: Standard Tax Deduction

Good Morning Jim, I have spent the last few days getting to know another program for retirement planning. That software was good but extremely complicated and not very friendly. Re: Documentation for Detailed Table and what the headers mean

Yes - a cheat sheet! :D Thanks again for your replies. One additional question: Is there a way to set up the software to block money going to the Taxable account and go to a Roth only? Using the software to plan - My plan is/was to create a Roth IRA, do periodic withdrawals (monthly) over each year,...

Documentation for Detailed Table and what the headers mean

Jim, just came across a question and reply in the forum about the Detailed Table columns from 2016. I am having an awful time trying to learn the "accounting" in the detail table - where is money going/moving to and when. I have slowly/painfully picked up on some columns, but, is there a &...

Re: Taxable Portfolio Value

jimr - thanks for your reply. It helped me understand, of course I had to read it and review the tables several times. As a result of your reply, I ask you this: I have one banking account from which I use normal checking and have a sizable amount built up from consolidating a savings account into t...
