Re: how do I add a non-investment account?
The planner isn't set up to track individual investment accounts or asset classes. The investment style (or custom avg return/std dev) should be configured so to represent the expected risk/return of your overall blended portfolio, including any cash you hold in your portfolio. I haven't researched...

Re: Updating to newest FRP version
To update the program on windows, just download the latest version from the frp website and click on the downloaded installer executable. There's no need to uninstall the old version. The only caveat with this the old version of the program can't be running during the install process (say in the ba...

Updating to newest FRP version
I have the FRP from about 2 years ago. If I want to update it, can I just update it from within the FRP program, or do I have to download a whole new program?
If I have to download a whole new program, will it automatically just replace the existing FRP and wipe out the old one?

How to measure if I'm on pace??
If I input a 3% inflation rate, hit "RUN", and look under "DETAILED VIEW", the median portfolio value column will have a value of every year going forward. You mentioned that all the values are in current dollars, so if I look at the value 10 years from now (2032) and it says $20...

Re: When is "current age" calculated?
I know the planner shows projections in today's dollars. Is there an option where I can see them in future dollars? Just so I can see if I'm on track as the years go by.

Re: When is "current age" calculated?
The planner starts the simulation as of today. The second year of the simulation will be in one year from now and at that time, the planner will assume you just turned one year older. Logically, the planner withdraws any expenses for the year at the start of the year and calculates portfolio gains ...

When is "current age" calculated?
If I just turned 40, I would put that I have $40k saved in my portolio. But, after 11 months have passed by, I'm still 40, but I now have 70k in my portfolio. So, when it asks my current age, at what point in the 12 months that I'm 40 does it calculate things? I could put very different numbers in f...
