Hi Jim,
Thank you for your prompt reply. My Java permission was set to high safety. I changed it to medium, and now the planner works great. For your reference, I am using Windows XP (SP2), with IE 6.0.
Thanks!

How to enter a future one-time payment on additional inputs?
Jim, I am unclear as to how the calculator would work for future income (or expense) which does not start today. For example, if I anticipate receiving a one time payment of $ 10,000 (in future dollars) 10 years from now and want to add this one time event on the additional inputs page as “Misc Inco...

Tax rates and how can a spouse be added to the calculator?
Jim:
Very interesting tool. Two questions please: (1) Is the "tax rate" the average or the marginal? and (2) What way can a spouse be added to the calculator?
Thank you for the use of the tool.

Re: Problems running the planner with older version of MAC OS
Hi Jim,
While I have you here, if I finally figure out how to get this working on my Mac at home (I still haven't found a download of Java 1.4), is there any way to print out the results or do I just need to make screen shots to have a record?
Thanks,

Re: Problems running the planner with older version of MAC OS
Thanks for getting back to me so fast. I just tried to access the planner again from my Mac at home (both Netscape and Safari browsers), and it still won't load. But I tried it on my PC at work today and it worked fine. I guess I will just have to stay after work some evening and use it there.

Problems running the planner with older version of MAC OS
Hi, I have tried several times to use the planner. I get an error message even though I have updated my Java as much as possible. I am using a Mac running OS 10.3.9. Java update you are linked to requires 10.4, does this mean I will not be able to use the planner without upgrading to 10.4? Is there ...

Re: Help solving a blank screen/java error problem?
Hi Jim, Finally had a chance to get back to getting the program working, and it is. I have to go via the Microsoft IE rather than my Yahoo, no problem, followed your instructions. Played with it a little bit, need to sit down to understand what the inputs mean and put my numbers together in light of...

Help solving a blank screen/java error problem?
Jim, You don't know how excited I am that you have made this program available. I had my diffy Q and calculus over 40 years ago, and looking at some sites the math looks like Greek. Sad how you lose it. I went thru your process to launch and immediately had to install the java. I "successfully ...
