Jim,
I was able to fix the problem once I updated my Java version.
Thanks for a great tool!

Re: Blank screen and "Class not found" error launching planner?

Hi Jim,

I checked the settings on my Internet tools>Security page and it is at Medium safety already. Is the Java permission that you mention covered by that?

Blank screen and "Class not found" error launching planner?

I love your website. I've been looking for a retirement planner like yours for weeks now and thought it didn't exist. However, when I tried to use it, I got an error message class retirementSim.runSim not found as shown in the attached screenshot. Is there some setting I must have? Any help would be...

How to input data for couple with different retirement ages?

Jim,

My wife will be eligible to withdrawal her social security before I retire. How do I include that in your planner? As far as I can tell, the "Misc. Income" additional input only works after retirement.

Thanks!

Should "Retirement Spending" input include expected taxes?

DEAR JIM, FIRST OF ALL I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL RETIREMENT PLANNER. I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL OTHER CALCULATORS BUT YOURS IS THE MOST DETAILED AND THOROUGH. I ASSUME THAT SINCE THERE ARE ENTRIES FOR DIFFERENT TAX RATES, THAT THE RETIREMENT INCOME COLUMN IS THE ACTUAL EXPENSES AND SHOU...

Re: Can I model a decreased exposure to stocks as I age?

This seems to be working well...

I do have a question about the Additional Input "Misc. Income". Can this be used to simulate working for the first X years of retirement? As far as I can tell, the one on the main page assumes work from a starting date to the end of the plan.

Thanks!

Can I model a decreased exposure to stocks as I age?

To Whom It May Concern: First off, I have found this to be a very valuable planning tool. Thanks... Given the popularity of decreasing your exposure to stocks as you go older, how would you recommend incorporating this into the model? Unless I set up a large number of Portfolio Returns by year, I se...

Re: Question on how taxes on withdrawals are handled - bug?

Yep, I can see the changes. Really looks good. Thanks.

I have now screwed up three times by hitting the browser back button instead of the tab on the planner sheet I want to go back to! Is there any way to preserve all the input settings to avoid having to re-enter them all over again?
