Open recent file?

I'm on a Mac, running OS X El Capitan. My FRP files are deep down inside a series of nested folders, and every time I want to open one, I have to use FRP's Open pane to navigate multiple levels down. Is there any easier way? For example, some Mac programs have an "open recent file" option, but I don't see it in FRP.

Unfortunately, this is handled by Java and the details are all hidden from my code. On a PC, the open dialogue usually starts with the last folder location that was used for either a save as or an open operation.

Again though, it's all magic to my code. I just ask Java to ask the user to point to a file location and it handles the rest.
