Effect of Additional Inputs
Effect of Additional Inputs
When I enter specific portfolio returns under Additional Inputs, do they override the Investing Style (and related allocation and return rate) entries on the top page? Thanks!
Re: Effect of Additional Inputs
They do.
Entries in the additional inputs rate table are processed in order from top to bottom. If there are duplicate/overlapping entries for any year, the last entry wins (for each overlapping year).
You can think of the returns on the main input window as a hidden 'first' entry in the additional inputs table, with a start year equal to start of plan and an end year equal to end of plan. Since that 'entry' is processed first, all the entries you create will override the main input window entry for the years you specify.
