I went back and forth with the 3% setting, but accept it now as the best guess.
Also check the sensitivity analysis feature. I set Annual Retirement Spending to $60,000 minimum and $90,000 maximum. Then enter 2.0% and 8.0% for inflation rate. Just one more way of testing possible outcomes.

I'm going to carve out health care and LTC as separate items, and apply a {shudder} 5% inflation rate. The rest I will leave at 3%.

Thank you to all that provided insight on inflation, I have been struggling with this input. I'm at 2.8% and when you look at the money needed even 10 years out it's a bunch.
