Yes, except that if the withdrawal comes from the tax deferred portfolio, some extra funds will be withdrawn to cover the income taxes due on the withdrawal amount.mingli wrote:1、Minimum percent of expenses to fund
If Minimum percent of expenses to fund 75%,Annual Retirement Spending 70,000,Aunal Retirement Income 30,000,then the Minimum withdrawal is 70000*0.75-30000=22,500 or (70000-30000)*0.75=30,000?I think it's 22,500,right?
Technically, the planner logic doesn't deal in calendar dates. 12/31 and 1/1 are meaningless to it. It only deals with ages and relative time frames. If you set up the planner with portfolio values and ages as of 11/12/2016, you could say that the planner uses a fiscal year that starts every November 12th.2、Start date
If I run the simulation at 11-12-2016,then the Start date of Year 2016 is 11-12-2016 or 12-31-2015? I think it's 12-31-2015,so in fact the portfolio value of Year 2016 is value at 11-11-2017,right?
It's sort of a quirk. The code that sets the portfolio value at retirement is in the first day of the year part of the simulation logic.3、 portfolio value at retirement
If I set the Retirement Age at Year 2016, portfolio value at retirement is the value of Year 2016,not the initial portfolio value. But If I set the Retirement Age at Year 2017,then portfolio value at retirement is still the value of Year 2016,not the value of Year 2017,why?
